THE PARTY OF DEATH

On the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, he had Ramesh Ponnuru, the author of the book “The Party of Death”, as a guest.  In the discussion about the book which discusses the Democrats disregard for human life, Stewart makes this argument (paraphrased):  You say Democrats don’t respect human life in abortion, what about the Republicans disregard for life in the Iraqi War?  Why do people make these types of arguments?  Politics aside, why do people spend so much time telling another person why they should not be able to criticize them?  Why can’t they both be wrong?  Because one person disregards life, does not mean that others can too.  I just wish that people will learn how to argue more logically and admit when they make a mistake.  Click here to see the interview.

NEWS AND NOTES

·        St. Louis Marathon: On April 9, 2006, I ran the STL Marathon in 5:08:23.  I felt great until the last two miles when my knee hurt so bad that it hurt even to walk.  Regardless, I finished the race.

·        Grandma Blair: On April 20, 2006, my grandmother unexpectedly past away.  She has lived next door to my family for twenty years, so we were very close.  Selfishly, I wish she could have been there in person when I ordained to the priesthood.

·        Summer Begins: On May 11, 2006, I finish my last paper for my class, so I am officially dome with school until next year.  Only thing left is my final evaluation which is on May 25.  Pray for me that this may be fruitful.
